Diablo Women's Garden Club Scholarship Program

The purpose of the Diablo Women's Garden Club is to create and develop interest in horticulture, garden, floral and landscape design and to encourage civic planting and conservation. To this end, need and merit-based scholarships are awarded annually to students in California colleges and universities.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Floral Design or Botany programs, and demonstrate appropriate work and volunteer experience.  In addition, an applicant must be a full-time resident of California and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA to be considered.

In January, the Scholarship Committee solicits the support of several colleges and universities to communicate the opening of the application window and where to secure the application materials.  The application deadline is April 1 and scholarship recipients are notified of awards in May.

Funding for the DWGC scholarship program is derived from the Club's fundraising and ways & means activities through the year. If you would like to support the DWGC Scholarship Program with a tax-deductible donation, please click here for our donation form.
